Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the assigned care setting in Memphis, TN. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in current unit or in specialty area.
• RN licensure with BLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient appropriately and accurately based on their medical condition.
• Administers medications as prescribed and monitors effects.
• Delivers care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient including basic self-care activities.
• Creates and evaluates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs with family involvement as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and provide services.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team in providing patient care.
• Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
• Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family; coordinates with social services regarding discharge needs.
• Demonstrates cost-effective practices and non-wasteful usage of supplies and resources.
• Prioritizes patient care effectively and maintains patient safety.
• Engages in lifelong learning related to the nursing profession.
