Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is hiring a Registered Nurse for PRN day shifts in Dade City. This role emphasizes infection prevention, medication safety, and individualized patient care plans.

You will lead assessments, coordinate with the care team, and promote a high-quality patient experience while ensuring regulatory compliance. The position requires an Associate's in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), RN and BLS certifications, and familiarity with EMR systems (Cerner preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follows strict infection prevention precautions.
• Adheres to medication safety policies and procedures.
• Sets short- and long-range goals for patients and implements care plans.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments and adjusts plans.
• Applies knowledge across diagnoses, procedures, medications, and equipment.
• Ensures medication safety and regulatory compliance.
• Promotes exceptional patient experience through communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team and performs thorough hand-offs.
• Complies with ANA standards and participates in quality initiatives.
• Manages staff accountability and regulatory adherence as applicable.
• Facilitates team dynamics and patient flow, including staff assignments.
• Executes management duties including conflict resolution, hand-offs, and audits.
• Assesses and interprets diagnostic data for patient age and condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
