Job summary

Kohl’s is hiring an associate to deliver excellent customer service at the point of sale and in customer service processes, focusing on consistent execution and operational efficiency. You will help create a compelling customer experience by delivering speed of service transactions.

Key duties include greeting customers, operating a cash register, scanning items, bagging merchandise, handling payments, and supporting inventory accuracy.

• No retail experience required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute POS and customer service standards accurately and efficiently with courtesy, speed, and friendly service.
• Meet or exceed individual goals (e.g., credit, loyalty).
• Support inventory accuracy through POS and merchandise disposition practices.
• Assist in training new service team hires, teaching processes and Kohl’s standards.
• Participate in daily service processes (register/cash balancing, change orders, replenishment).

What You’ll Do

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, operate a cash register, scan items, bag merchandise and properly handle different methods of payment
• Accurately and efficiently execute point of sale and customer service standards based on company guidelines providing courteous, friendly, fast and efficient service
• Meet or exceed individual goals (e.g., credit, loyalty)
• Support inventory accuracy through accurate completion of all required point of sale and merchandise disposition practices
• Support the training process for new hires on the service team, including teaching process best practices, proper point of sale procedures, using available tools and resources while meeting Kohl’s brand standards
• Participate in daily service processes (e.g., register and cash balancing, change orders, replenish supplies)
