Job summary

Kohl’s Illinois, Inc. is seeking a customer service associate to deliver exceptional assistance at the point of sale and customer service steps. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, scan items, and process payments while maintaining brand standards and a fast, friendly experience.

You will contribute to inventory accuracy and support training for new hires, ensuring daily service processes run smoothly. Flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• No retail experience required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide assistance with products and services; operate a cash register and handle payments.
• Deliver courteous, fast, and efficient service and uphold POS standards.
• Aim to meet or exceed individual goals (e.g., credit, loyalty).
• Support inventory accuracy and POS/merchandise disposition practices.
• Assist in training new hires on service processes and Kohl’s brand standards.
• Participate in daily service processes such as register balancing, change orders, and replenishment.
