Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking store team members for PORTLAND, OR area to deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop our store.

You’ll ensure fast checkouts, assist with returns, enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and participate in omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS. You will also help with truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and in-store merchandising while upholding SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to assist customers and resolve questions.
• Comfort with handling transactions and operating a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide fast checkout with accurate cash handling
• Engage customers about Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on VOC surveys
• Assist Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS)
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planograms (POGs)
• Maintain in-stock conditions and merchandise recovery
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies
• Be a positive role model and respectful team member
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling/production
• Other duties as assigned
