Job summary

The Waterfront Beach Resort, a Hilton Hotel in Huntington Beach, is seeking a seasonal restaurant host for part-time hours. You will greet guests, help with seating, and guide them to tables while presenting menus and promoting a positive guest experience.

You’ll read and log daily communications to coordinate with shifts and management, maintain dining room set-up, and participate in opening/closing duties. Training is provided and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and associates.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
• Training provided.
• Well organized with excellent follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests, offer seating, escort to table, and present menu.
• Read, maintain and log daily communications to coordinate between shifts and management.
• Maintain dining room setup and enforce standards; assign stations to service staff.
• Conduct daily roll call meetings to share promotions and events.
• Receive and arrange reservations and special functions in the restaurant.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including side work.
