Qualifications

• BLS by American Heart Association.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment/transfer.
• Basic ECG interpretation knowledge.

• Successful completion of GSMC EKG test.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, educational, and growth domains.
• Develop and implement a written care plan with teaching for patient/family and staff.
• Deliver and document nursing care; monitor and adjust as needed.
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and teaching.

Job Summary

Job Type: Per Diem - 3 shifts/week required

The Professional Staff Nurse plans, delivers and evaluates nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Director and/or designee. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical, psychosocial, educational, and growth and development needs of the patient.
• Develops a written plan of care using assessment data and provides teaching and guidance to patient and/or family as well as staff members.
• Implements nursing plan of care on assigned patients and communicates and Documents patient activities, needs and assessments.
• Evaluates the patient\'s response to interventions/teaching.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:

• Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Florida
• BLS by AHA
• ACLS within 6 months of employment/transfer
• Basic EKG
• Successful completion of GSMC Medication test
• Successful completion of GSMC EKG Test

• At least 1 year of current acute care experience
