Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on the night shift. You will provide direct patient care, follow infection prevention precautions and ensure medication safety while developing individualized care plans.

The role requires an RN license for Florida, current BLS/ACLS and PALS certifications, and at least an associate degree in nursing with preferred bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Associate's of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's of Nursing is preferred.
• 2+ relevant clinical nurse experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in Florida is required.
• PALS, BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• APEX Innovations NIHSS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Follows strict infection prevention precautions.
• Adheres to policies and procedures regarding all aspects of medication safety.
• Sets measurable and achievable short and long-range goals for patients and develops care plans.
• Prioritizes and completes follow-up assessments and adjusts plans as needed.
• Applies knowledge related to diagnoses, procedures, medications and equipment for unit patients.
