Qualifications

• Six months of experience providing visitor services in a public park, forest, recreation area, or related setting.
• Completion of 15 college credits in natural or environmental sciences or related field.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Park Patrol: observe grounds and assist visitors or check facilities.
• Visitor Support: provide information and help visitors register.
• Law Enforcement Aid: accompany trained staff on patrols and help prepare basic reports.
• Emergency Response: assist in rescues and provide first aid where trained.
• Reports and Logs: record daily activities and safety conditions.
• Physical Training: meet required fitness standards through regular exercise.
