Overview

Carpinito Brothers is hiring for our pumpkin patch and corn maze this October. For over 25 years, our fall event has been one of the premier pumpkin patch destinations in the Puget Sound. We’re looking for motivated, customer-focused, energetic individuals, who enjoy working outdoors, to be a part of our annual fall event. Weekend availability for the duration of the pumpkin patch event is required for all positions.

Livestock Attendant & Farm Hand

Livestock Attendant & Farm Hand: In this position you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the daily operations of the Farm Fun Yard. Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the animal pens is a large part of this role. Being comfortable entering pens with cows, pigs, chickens and other animals is required. Experience with or a strong interest in livestock is preferred but we are willing to train dedicated individuals. You will also engage with visitors and help to answer questions about the farm and animals.

Responsibilities
  • Using a wheel barrow to assist with feeding
  • Lifting feed bags weighing up to 50lbs
  • Cleaning and refilling watering stations
  • Cleaning animal waste from pens using hand tools including shovels, rakes, and more
  • Using wheels barrows and hand tools to refresh bedding in pens
  • Using brooms and other tools to clean walkways and public areas
  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and enjoy working with the public

  • At least 16 years old
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to stand and walk on a variety of surfaces for extended periods of time
  • Ability to repeatedly squat, lift, push, pull and carry up to 50lbs

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patrons
  • Maintain a fun and positive experience for patrons
  • Commitment to a regular schedule for the entire time of need, from late September through October 31st
