Job summary

Pinnacle Propane, LLC is seeking a Seasonal Bulk Driver to safely load and deliver propane to residential and commercial customers. You will conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, verify tank levels, and maintain compliance with DOT and Hazmat regulations, while delivering excellent customer service in various weather conditions.

The role requires a valid CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, ability to operate in adverse weather, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1+ years of truck driving experience.
• Oil, Gas, or Propane experience highly preferred.
• Valid Class A, B, or C CDL.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements indicated on license.
• Ability to operate in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to abide by all DOT rules and regulations.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, manuals, and reports.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
• Cooperative, team-oriented behavior.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and deliver propane via bobtail truck to residential and commercial locations.
• Fill empty customer tanks by pulling the hose from the truck to the tank location.
• Perform truck maintenance daily, verify safety supplies, keep truck clean, notify managers of issues.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, meet delivery windows, be dependable.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections complying with DOT regulations.
• Perform safe connection, disconnection, and transfer of propane using proper hose handling.
• Verify customer tank levels, capacity, and system integrity before and after delivery.
• Operate metering and ticketing systems to record deliveries and capture signatures.
• Identify and respond to propane leaks, system irregularities, or safety hazards.
• Maintain compliance with Hazmat regulations and proper placarding.
• Navigate routes efficiently with routing systems, adjust for weather/traffic.
• Provide basic customer education on propane safety and emergency procedures.
• Ensure tank placement clearances and NFPA 58 code awareness.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours emergency rotations.
• Complete and submit delivery documentation in a timely manner.
• Monitor vehicle telemetry for safe driving and compliance.
• Adhere to hours of service (HOS) and maintain logs.
• Assist with yard and bulk plant operations.
• Represent the company professionally in the field.
