Job summary

Primo Brands Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for seasonal shifts at our Ontario, CA facility. You will operate and maintain packaging and filling lines, perform quality checks, and collaborate across teams to ensure efficient production.

The role requires willingness to work 12-hour day or night shifts, weekend coverage, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Training will occur on day shift initially.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in clean manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift including start-up and handover meetings.
  • Exposure to high-speed production and basic maintenance preferred.
  • Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills both face to face and over radio.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications; SAP experience a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred, but training available.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment.
  • Record preventative maintenance activities and key metrics.
  • Adhere to GMP and safety practices; participate in safety programs.
  • Communicate issues impacting adherence to standards.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics for efficiency and downtime.
  • Perform calculations as needed and ensure hourly quality checks.
  • Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading.
  • Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, and other teams to maximize output.
  • Attend shifts, team and plant meetings as scheduled.
  • Cross-train to support operations during downtime.

Overview

This position is seasonal, with the possibility of direct hire and increased compensation upon transition to a permanent role, contingent on performance and other relevant factors

Factory Location: Ontario, California

Compensation: $22.35 / hour

Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked

Available 12 hour Shift Schedules:
Day Shifts
  • Wedesday - Saturday: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Sunday - Wednesday: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Night Shifts
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
  • Sunday - Wednesday: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

Must be able to attend training for the first few weeks on day shift 6:00 AM - 6:15 PM

Responsibilities
  • Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance according to company standards on production equipment consisting of fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, blow mold machines, wrappers, and forklifts
  • Record the following: preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics
  • Adhere to safe work practices, good manufacturing practices, and participate in safe behavior observation programs
  • Communicate effectively when issues arise that prevent operating to company standards/procedures
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production, and downtime
  • Perform mathematical calculations as needed
  • Ensure quality product is sent to customers by completing hourly quality checks
  • Inspect raw materials against quality standards before loading them
  • Interact with team members from various departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, etc.) to maximize output and efficiency
  • Attend shift, team, and plant meetings during their scheduled times
  • Measure and continuously improve the line operation as a team and with other technicians
  • Cross-train in other areas to support operations during downtimes
  • Maintain your workstation in an organized and clean manner ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices
  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to work the scheduled shift which includes start-up and handover meetings
  • Exposure to high-speed production and/or basic maintenance is preferred
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
  • Ability to work on your own and with a team
  • Strong communication skills both face to face and over the radio
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus
  • Forklift experience is preferred, but we are able to train new associates
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
  • Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
