Job summary

Sitka, City and Borough of (AK) is seeking personnel to perform restricted and non-restricted port patrols in line with the Sitka Facility Security Plan. Duties include MARSEC level monitoring, security patrols of restricted areas, and passenger/vehicle screening in coordination with port enforcement.

Shifts vary with cruise ship schedules and may require overtime; position is temporary up to seven months. Experience in marine-oriented positions is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine oriented positions preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills are required.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide port patrols in accordance with Sitka Facility Security Plan.
• Respond to security threats and breaches and report to appropriate personnel.
• Screen passengers and vehicles as required.
• Operate handheld radios during patrols.
