Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking Seasonal Pit Operators to support first and second shifts at our Bethlehem area facility. You will operate lift trucks and order pickers, scan items, and help with inbound receiving while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Role requires certified lift-truck operation, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime. Prior warehouse experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team; strong communication.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to move products and materials.
• Use handheld scanner with accuracy for inventory and receiving tasks.
• Load and unload trailers; maintain a clean, safe workspace per 7S standards.
• Assist with inbound receiving and basic warehouse duties as needed.

SEASONAL PIT OPERATORS

1st shift, Sunday - Tuesday, 5 a.m. - 5 p.m.

1st shift, Wednesday - Saturday, 5 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

2nd shift, Sunday - Tuesday, 5 p.m. - 5 a.m.

2nd shift, Wedesday - Saturday, 3:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.

Required qualifications:

• Must be comfortable driving order picker (cherry picker)
• Must be okay with working heights of 30 - 40 feet

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Operate powered industrial lift trucks and order pickers to push, pull, lift, stack or move product, equipment and materials
• Use a handheld scanner with a high degree of accuracy
• Load and unload trailers as needed
• Adhere to the 7S program and maintain a clean environment at all times
• Display a commitment to process excellence
• Demonstrate an understanding of the Supply Chain quality policy
• Perform inbound receiving processes

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• To be trained and certified in the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when needed

It'd be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of warehouse experience
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
• Handle or manage tools or equipment
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
