Job summary

Delta Peanut LLC is seeking a Buying Point Operator for its Kennett, MO peanut processing facility. The seasonal role involves hands-on labor to support movement, curing, and grading of peanuts in a dusty outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include operating conveyors and grading equipment, loading trailers, sampling moisture, and maintaining equipment. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in a physically demanding setting with exposure to peanuts.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting up to 75lbs., bending, climbing).
• Willingness to work in outdoor, dusty, and hot environments.
• Basic understanding of equipment operation preferred.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Mainly outdoors in the yard, or working with farm or large heavy equipment.
• May require wearing PPE and exposure to manufacturing and outdoor conditions.
• Work at elevated heights, including climbing ladders, and platforms up to 60 ft.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean conveyors, dryers, dump pits, hoppers, and grading equipment.
• Follow safety protocols (use of PPE such as hearing/eye protection, dust masks).
• Assist with trailer unloading, moisture sampling, and trailer movement.
• Monitor equipment for issues and assist with maintenance and repairs.
• Perform seasonal cleaning and equipment storage tasks post-harvest.
