The City of Bloomfield is seeking a Seasonal Parks Worker to join the Parks & Recreation team in Bloomfield. This role focuses on maintaining city parks, facilities, and programs, including turf care, restrooms, landscaping, and minor carpentry tasks. Work mainly outdoors with supervision and a fixed Mon-Thu schedule.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and the ability to operate common groundskeeping tools safely. Seasonal status applies.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Perform turf maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing.
• Operate riding and push mowers, weed eaters, edgers, and blowers.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and bushes; assist with fertilizing under supervision.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, picnic shelters, and BBQ grills.
• Empty trash cans and pick up litter throughout park areas.
• Assist with sprinkler system installation, landscaping, planting, painting, and minor carpentry.
• Maintain sports fields including dragging, chalking, mowing, trimming, and minor repairs.
• Clean dugouts, spectator areas, and restrooms at sports facilities.
• Perform weed control using mechanical methods under supervision.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and required training sessions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, city officials, and the public.
