Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior's Yellowstone program seeks an individual to coordinate two-month residential YCC activities for youths aged 15-18. You will supervise crews, schedule tasks, and ensure safe, engaging educational experiences in the park.

You will train staff, lead enrollees, and manage facility operations while coordinating with program leadership. This is a seasonal, multi-week assignment with physically demanding outdoor work in bear country and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily operations of two-month residential programs for 62 youths (ages 15–18) through the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).
• Oversee work crews on projects and weekend recreational activities throughout Yellowstone.
• Train and lead staff and enrollees; manage the YCC facility and coordinate other youth work program assignments.
• Provide resource training using the Yellowstone YCC Leadership Curriculum; ensure safety, security, and supervision of enrollees on duty.
