Job summary

Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is seeking a Program Assistant for the 2026 season at Seneca Lake Park. The role supports the Program Leader in scheduling and delivering park activities for campers and guests, including coordinating events and maintaining program records.

The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and collaboration with park staff to provide engaging activities for all ages. Weekend, evening, and holiday work is required, with a pay rate of $12.25–$14.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreation, programming, and fundraising is required.
• Prior experience in coordinating special events/programs and budget management is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A thorough knowledge of sports rules is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of audio visual aids is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Program Leader in scheduling, coordinating, and facilitating activities within the park or campground for campers and daily guests.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe Activity Center facility/area to perform activities.
• Provides excellent customer service when interacting with MWCD guests.
• Assists in the planning, scheduling, and presentation of programs for all age groups.
• Coordinates and assists in pre-program preparation and post-program cleanup; maintains attendance and other records.
