Job summary

Evans Distribution Systems, a leading Southeast Michigan logistics provider, is seeking Seasonal Warehouse Associates in Melvindale, MI to support packaging operations.

You will assemble, label, package, and prepare products for shipment, following work instructions. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule and 6:00–7:00 am starts; overtime and Saturday work are required as needed. Benefits are available after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Previous packaging or assembly experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet production expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Willingness to follow instructions, established procedures, and workplace policies.
• Ability to successfully complete the required pre-employment background screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily work assignments provided by the supervisor and complete tasks according to established work instructions and quality requirements.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Complete required production paperwork and submit completed worksheets to the shift leader.
• Properly identify and tag all materials, including work-in-process and nonconforming products, in accordance with established procedures.
• Ensure products are correctly labeled, packaged, and prepared for shipment according to customer specifications and work instructions.
• Follow established quality, productivity, and safety standards at all times.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and all company and site‑specific safety policies.
• Promptly report workplace incidents, accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe work practices to supervision.
• Properly use and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and immediately report missing, damaged, or malfunctioning safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all housekeeping and applicable workplace health and safety policies.
