Job summary

UPS is hiring a seasonal full-time Package Delivery Driver in California. You will drive a UPS truck, deliver packages to homes and businesses, and provide reliable customer service. This is a physically active, outdoor role with schedules that may vary and include five days per week.

Base pay is $38.00/hour, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing employment past the seasonal period. Candidates must meet safety and DOT requirements and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Able to lift, lower, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver's license (no CDL required) in your state; proof may be required.
• Pass the DOT physical.
• Pass a UPS driver test.
• Excellent customer service and driving skills.
• Comply with UPS Appearance Guidelines and wear the provided uniform.
• Sturdy work boots or slip-resistant shoes.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Deliver packages to homes and businesses on assigned routes.
• Drive one of UPS trucks and navigate routes efficiently.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, reliable manner.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions on a fast-paced schedule.
• Maintain safety and security of packages and vehicle.
• Follow company policies and DOT rules for driver certification.
