Job summary

Crate and Barrel in New York is seeking Seasonal Operations Associates to enhance the customer experience. You will help keep shelves stocked, set up displays, and prepare the stockroom to fulfill orders during the holiday season.

You'll work with store leadership to meet sales and service standards, engage customers with product knowledge, and promote promotions while maintaining safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred
• Good communication skills
• Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier items with team assist
• Must be able to work the weekend after Thanksgiving and the days surrounding Christmas
• Part-Time roles: availability to work two or more weekend days and at least one weekday or night

Responsibilities

• Perform prompt and accurate stock checks, maintain an organized stockroom
• Assist leadership with ensuring product and displays on the sales floor are stocked
• Process incoming and outgoing packages including curbside and ship-from-store orders
• Support store sales and service goals and standards
• Drive sales through customer engagement and product knowledge
• Lead by example and support leadership in profitability and operations
• Promote current promotions, brand initiatives/events, and store services
• Maintain awareness of loss prevention, security and safety guidelines
• Promote teamwork by working safely and efficiently with all associates

A day in the life as a Seasonal Operations Associate...

• Perform prompt and accurate stock checks, while maintaining an organized and efficient stockroom.

• Assist the leadership team with ensuring product and displays on the sales floor are stocked appropriately and available for customers to purchase.

• Process incoming and outgoing packages, including customer curbside pick-up orders, ship from store, and buy online, pick up in store, in a timely manner.

• Support and maintain store sales and service goals and standards as communicated by the leadership team.

• Drive sales through engagement of customers, sharing and demonstrating product knowledge and product expertise, as needed.

• Lead by example and support store leadership in holding self and others accountable for store profitability and operational excellence.

• Have awareness of current promotions, brand initiatives/events, store services, collaborations, and promote them to customers.

• Maintain an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines provided by leadership and/or as outlined in the Associate Policy Manual.

• Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working together safely, effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates.
