Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Seasonal Emergency Department RN for 13-week or 26-week assignments, night shift. Full-time hours are required: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. 1+ year ED RN experience is required.

The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinates and delivers care with physicians and the team, administers medications, responds to emergencies, and ensures patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ED RN experience.
• RN licensure in the state (or compact) required.
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborates to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
• Educates patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control and patient safety standards.
• Documents care in medical records.
