Texas Health Central Staffing Office – internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all THR hospitals. Seasonal Patient Care Technician position is based in Arlington, TX, primarily serving Region B with the possibility to float to nearby zones.

Shifts are nights (7 PM–7 AM) and work is PRN; benefits do not extend to full-time or part-time status. Compensation is $30.00 per hour. Must be able to float as needed and maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience required within the last 3 years
• No experience required if a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or military experience with medical training equivalent

Responsabilités

• Provide assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collect patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provide and Revise patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enter orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Document accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration/consultation with the nurse, adapt care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration/consultation with nurse, incorporate cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keep patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipate patient/family and visitor needs and take action to meet those needs and rounds as appropriate.
