Job summary

The Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area, managed by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, seeks Seasonal Natural Resources Workers to support survey, monitoring and maintenance activities at Montgomery properties. Wages begin at $12.25 per hour for up to 180 working days and shift potential includes afternoons and weekends.

Positions include Resource Management Techs, Laborers, Clerks and Office Assistants, with varying duties from habitat restoration to visitor services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or one year of work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical activity.
• Willingness to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel to different properties and work in various environments.
• Some college coursework in wildlife management or related fields may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with invasive species control, habitat restoration and trail maintenance.
• Maintain and repair property buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Perform administrative tasks such as inventory, stocking and reporting.
• Provide customer service to park visitors and answer inquiries.
