The MRI Technologist II provides outstanding customer service to patients, providers and clinical teams with the primary task of operating imaging equipment to acquire quality diagnostic images as ordered by the physician. In addition to adhering to the Mission and Vision Statement of Tampa General Hospital Crystal River, the following job duties are performed:
· Presents a professional, welcoming, supportive, and calm demeanor during all aspects of interactions with customers following AIDET principles.
· Communicates patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written correspondence.
· Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment, keeps abreast of uses of medical devices
Performs various tasks as assigned related to imaging department.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school for Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum two years of experience performing MRI, preferably in hospital setting
Licensure / Certification:
· Current license for General Radiographer with the State of Florida
· Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) for Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance (MR) imaging.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through the American Red Cross (ARC) or the American Heart Association (AHA).
