Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Mid-day Cashier in Alexandria, VA. This part-time role focuses on delivering a fast, friendly checkout experience and helping customers find products.

You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, and maintaining a well-merchandised store while supporting store recovery and safety standards. Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience, can stand for long periods, and are comfortable with light lifting and moving merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop and find what they’re looking for.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enrollings.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes; maintain store recovery.
• Support omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
