Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Centre, AL is seeking a Seasonal Medical Assistant for October through February to support urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services.

Responsibilities include clinical duties (examination prep, vitals, history taking, medication dispensing), clerical duties (records, scheduling, opening/closing), and maintaining clean, organized spaces. The schedule rotates, with two shifts and every-other weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial but not required.
• Medical assisting cetification is not required.

• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies.
• Assist with annual training as needed.
• Help produce and maintain patient education materials.
• Keep work and treatment areas clean and professional.
• Accept and handle special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment

Rotating Schedule:

Our clinic operates with two shifts: Shift A and Shift B. Staff will work on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend.
