Virginia Green is seeking a Seasonal Service Leader to deliver lawn care, aeration, seeding, and tree & shrub services to homeowners. The role runs mid-August through October, offering hands-on field work, independent routing, and professional equipment use to build customer spaces customers can be proud of.

You will lead on-site service with emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer experience—standing as the face of Virginia Green in the field.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; 1+ years driving preferred
• Ability to operate a truck and trailer safely
• Must obtain a Registered Technician certification within 30 days of hire (training paid by Virginia Green)
• Previous customer service or outdoor work helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Apply lawn care treatments, aeration, seeding, and tree & shrub services using professional equipment
• Work independently or with a team to complete services on assigned routes
• Operate equipment safely and in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines
• Inspect customer properties and provide recommendations to improve lawn health
• Manage daily routes and service documentation via mobile technology
• Ensure properties meet Virginia Green quality standards before leaving
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities in a clean, professional condition
• Represent Virginia Green with professionalism and a customer-first attitude

This opportunity will begin mid-August and run through October. This is more than just a seasonal job- it's an opportunity to build valuable skills, work independently, operate professional equipment, and help create beautiful outdoor spaces customers can be proud of.

As a Seasonal Service Leader, you'll be the face of Virginia Green in the field, delivering high-quality lawn and landscape services while providing outstanding customer experience.

Day in the Life:

• Applying lawn care treatments, aeration, seeding, and tree & shrub services using professional-grade equipment
• Working independently or with a team to complete services on assigned routes
• Operating equipment safely and efficiently while following all company and regulatory guidelines
• Inspecting customer properties and providing expert recommendations to improve lawn health
• Managing daily routes and service documentation through company-provided mobile technology
• Ensuring every property meets Virginia Green quality standards before leaving the site
• Maintaining equipment, vehicles, and facilities in a clean and professional manner
• Representing Virginia Green with professionalism, safety, and a customer-first attitude

• Previous customer service, landscaping, lawn care, or outdoor work experience is helpful but not required

This is an active, hands-on position requiring:

• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying throughout the day
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Walking long distances across customer properties

$19 - $20 an hour

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
