Job summary

The Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory at the University of Missouri is seeking motivated seasonal workers for high-volume CWD ELISA testing. Earn extra cash while developing hands-on laboratory skills. Flexible availability to work two to six weeks starting in mid-November, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.

– 5:00 p.m., with possible overtime on evenings or weekends. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Laboratory experience including basic pipette operation and biosafety cabinets.
• Ability to work well with other team members.
• Flexible schedule with mid-November start and potential weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Trim and weigh cervid tissues in preparation for diagnostic testing.
• Verify sample accountability by checking identification numbers and bar codes.
• Operate laboratory equipment to homogenize trimmed tissues.
• Maintain strict adherence to laboratory quality control standards and attention to detail.
