Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Driver for the Northwest region with a focus on daily kettle routes, pickups, and end-of-day security. This temporary role supports Christmas season activities and involves handling kettles, deposits, and supplies at multiple sites.

The position requires a valid WA driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and passing a driving test and background check. Work is in-person, Monday–Saturday, across local area sites with season-end inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.
• Must pass The Salvation Army’s driving test and Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be willing to continually lift 30 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive kettle stands and collection buckets to locations daily per routes.
• Assist in preparing and readying coin counting equipment for kettle counting.
• Transport kettle deposits to the bank as needed.
• Prepare kettle supplies and perform small repairs as directed.
• Discuss route improvements with CO and adjust staffing as needed.
• Pick up kettles six days per week on assigned routes.
• Secure kettles at end of day and ensure supplies are available.
