Job summary

Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 in the Federal service, examples include giving educational presentations and revising programs to align with standards.
  • Two full years (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) of graduate education leading to a relevant degree (natural resources, earth sciences, history, anthropology, park management, etc.).
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education to meet the GS-09 qualification standards is acceptable. Education beyond requirements can substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present interpretive programs, including guided walks and presentations, for diverse park audiences.
  • Engage the public to connect visitors with park meanings and values through educational programming.
  • Assist in managing and delivering educational experiences that foster stewardship and support for park resources.
