This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, and physical labor in both indoor and outdoor environments. This is a seasonal, part-time, entry-level position. # **Typical Job Duties*** Lead guided hikes or other outdoor recreation activities.* Deliver educational programming.* Plan and lead arts and crafts activities.* Maintain trails, including repairs, within the park.* Perform live animal enclosure upkeep, including care and cleaning.* Assist with routine groundskeeping and facility organization around Nature Center.* Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy.* Engage with guests in informed interpretation.* Assist in event setup and takedown.* Complete daily opening and closing duties for Nature Center.* Utilize Microsoft Office Suite as well as other software to complete various administrative tasks.* Performs assigned duties independently, requiring minimal on-site supervision, and completes scheduled tasks accurately and within established deadlines.* Performs other duties as assigned to support daily operations and agency needs. # **Minimum Qualifications*** Must be at least 16 years of age.* Physical requirements will include the ability to lead walking tours and navigate trails, regular bending, stooping, and carrying items up to 50 lbs.* Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to heat, cold, humidity, sun, and wind. # **Special Requirements*** Scheduled hours will require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on the needs of the agency.* Some locations may require a valid Driver’s License.
