Job summary

Under Canvas Inc. is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a team of housekeepers in a seasonal, hourly role. You will ensure guests experience a clean, comfortable environment in tent accommodations and collaborate with leadership to support camp operations.

You will hire, train, schedule, and coach team members while guiding sustainability initiatives and maintaining high standards across all tents and common areas. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Prior housekeeping management experience preferred.
• Ability to set clear expectations and lead a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills with guests and team.
• Understanding of property management systems is a plus.
• Solutions-oriented mindset and adaptability in a camp setting.

Responsibilities

• Think critically to respond quickly to changing situations on property.
• Be an active listener and supportive, approachable leader.
• Interact with coworkers and guests regularly.
• Meet with leadership to ensure camp success and guest satisfaction.
• Anticipate workflow and delegate tasks effectively.
• Streamline processes to maximize efficiency and resource use.
• Lead by example and inspire your team to excellence.
• Coordinate with front desk to handle lost and found items.
• Prioritize cleaning rooms based on inventory and requests.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching.
• Lead the housekeeping team in Under Canvas sustainability efforts.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.
• Develop trust and mutual respect among the team.
• Participate in meetings to inform about events or arrivals.
• Inspect outputs and provide timely feedback.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and resource use.
• Other duties as assigned.
