MosquitoNix Bethesda & Potomac is hiring seasonal team members for outdoor holiday lighting and décor installation on residential and commercial properties. Expect 5-6 days per week and 50+ hours during peak season, with the opportunity for advancement and training.

Compensation is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship while you work with a supportive crew outdoors during the holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Willing to work 5-6 days/week, 50+ hours during peak season.
• Outdoor work in fall/winter weather conditions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, secure, service, and remove holiday lighting and décor on roofs and structures
• Work from ladders and roofs at varying heights
• Install lights, wreaths, garlands, and other décor
• Load and unload ladders, tools, lighting, décor daily
• Safely carry ladders and equipment on customer properties
• Use hand tools, power tools, cords, timers, and installation gear
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting when needed
• Follow crew-leader instructions and installation plans
• Maintain a clean, professional jobsite
• Treat customers' homes and property with care and respect
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

MosquitoNix is looking for dependable, hard-working seasonal team members to join our Holiday Lighting & Décor installation crew. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position installing professional holiday lighting and décor on residential and commercial properties.

Our holiday season is busy and fast-paced. During peak season, team members should expect to work 5-6 days per week and 50+ hours per week, including Saturdays. If you enjoy working outdoors, aren't afraid of heights, like working with your hands, and want the opportunity to earn good seasonal income through plenty of available hours, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do

• Install, secure, service, and remove professional holiday lighting and décor on rooflines, eaves, trees, landscaping, and other structures
• Work from extension ladders and on roofs at varying heights
• Install items such as Christmas lights, wreaths, garland, tree lighting, and other holiday décor
• Load and unload ladders, tools, lighting, décor, and other equipment each day
• Safely carry and maneuver ladders and equipment around customer properties
• Use hand tools, power tools, extension cords, timers, and installation equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting when needed
• Follow crew-leader instructions and installation plans
• Maintain a clean and professional jobsite
• Treat customers, their homes, and their property with care and respect
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE

What This Job Requires

• Comfortable with heights: You must be willing and able to work on ladders and roofs. This is an essential part of the position.
• Physically capable: Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, kneel, reach, and remain active throughout the workday.
• Seasonal availability: Must be available 5-6 days per week, including Saturdays, and 50+ hours per week during peak season.
• Outdoor work: Must be comfortable working outside for extended periods in changing fall and winter weather conditions.
• Safety focused: Must follow safety procedures at all times and wear required PPE, including closed-toe footwear and fall-protection equipment/harnesses when required.
• Dependable: This is a team environment. Showing up on time and ready to work every scheduled day is critical.
• Able to follow direction: Must be able to follow crew-leader instructions and safety protocols exactly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Safety Comes First

Safety is mandatory, not optional. All installers will complete required safety training before working their first job and will participate in periodic safety refreshers throughout the season. We provide the training and equipment necessary to perform the work safely, but every team member is responsible for following our safety procedures every time.
