Job summary

TRAX International seeks an ARTC Heavy Equipment Operator for the Arctic Regions Test Center in Delta Junction, Alaska. This seasonal position supports the Mobility Test Complex, preparing and maintaining test tracks and range environments for mobility testing by military and civilian users.

The candidate will operate a wide range of heavy machinery, conduct pre-job checks, and document maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 1 year experience as a heavy equipment operator/mechanic operating and troubleshooting various problems and repairing heavy equipment, including diesel/gas engines, automotive electrical systems, and air/hydraulic systems, OR be a graduate of a recognized trade school with 6 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy, specialized, tactical and utility equipment as part of daily test operations.
• Perform preventative checks and maintenance services before, during and after vehicle use.
• Maintain road surfaces at the MTC for customer use and support ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrate proper documentation of time worked, parts requests, and maintenance performed.
