Cole Hardware in Rockridge, Oakland is seeking a Temporary Seasonal Sales/Utility Associate to provide outstanding customer service, merchandise products, and support store management. You will engage with customers, help locate hardware items, and contribute to a welcoming shopping experience.

The ideal candidate has retail experience, a team-oriented attitude, ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs, and availability on weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred (especially in hardware, paint, tools, electrical and plumbing)
• A professional, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand, lift, and move stock as needed
• Weekend and evening availability

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive outstanding service with every interaction
• Generate sales and help maintain departments
• Be positive and friendly at all times to coworkers and customers
• Have a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
• Stock merchandise and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock areas clean and organized
• Uphold merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness standards and procedures
• Maintain well-stocked, well-organized departments, and back-stock areas
• Be responsive of safety issues and be conscious of shoplifting activity
• Other duties may be assigned
