Job summary

Tidal Vision is seeking a Seasonal Agronomy Research Technician in Bellingham, WA to support controlled environment plant research across growth chambers, greenhouse systems, and growth rooms. You will execute cultivation protocols, collect growth data, and assist trials on fertilizer efficacy and plant physiology.

The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow experimental protocols in both laboratory and greenhouse settings.

Qualifications

• Background in plant biology, agronomy, horticulture, or related field preferred.
• Experience with greenhouse, growth chamber, or plant production systems preferred.
• Experience with hydroponic or soilless systems preferred.
• Exposure to Arabidopsis or controlled environment research preferred.
• Experience supporting experimental trials or research programs preferred.
• Familiarity with plant physiological measurements and data collection preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize seeds, stratify, and germinate in sterile media and manage growth conditions.
• Maintain hydroponic and agar-based growing systems; monitor plant health.
• Support growth chamber and greenhouse management including plant maintenance and sampling.
• Collect plant growth metrics (chlorophyll, leaf area, biomass, height, stomatal conductance).
• Prepare nutrient solutions and apply foliar treatments as directed.
• Record procedures and observations with meticulous detail; report findings.
