Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Seasonal Groundskeeper for Sequoyah State Park Golf Course. This part-time, seasonal role supports property and maintenance teams by mowing, trimming, planting, and keeping grounds clean and safe.

You will operate lawn equipment, follow safety rules, and assist with basic landscape tasks. Minimum qualifications include being 18+, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver's license. Compensation is $12 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Attention to detail preferred.
• Problem-solving ability preferred.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of people preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, weeds, trees and brush.
• Operates and maintains equipment like lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and trimmers.
• Plants flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Maintains current landscaping including applying mulch, and pruning or deadheading bushes and shrubs.
• Removes trash, debris, and snow from common areas.
• Checks permanent recreation equipment for safety concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
