Job summary

DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND RECREATION is seeking a Seasonal Groundskeeper for Lake Murray State Park Golf Course. The role involves maintaining outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and recreation areas, under supervision of Property and Maintenance Managers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, humidity, sun, wind).
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass, weeds, trees and brush.
• Operates and maintains lawn equipment (mowers, weed eaters, blowers, trimmers).
• Plants flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Maintains landscaping (mulch, pruning, deadheading).
• Removes trash and debris from common areas.
• Checks safety of recreation equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
