This unique seasonal position begins with the Grounds & Facilities team, helping transform Verde Canyon Railroad into a festive Christmas experience.

As the season progresses, the role transitions into an exciting position as one of our Magical Christmas Journey actors or characters.

Qualifications

• Be comfortable standing and working for long periods.
• Able to safely use ladders during decorating.
• Willing to work outdoors in varied weather, including cold, wind, rain.
• Enjoy interacting with guests and performing as holiday characters.
• Flexible to perform multiple tasks and work evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grounds & Facilities with decorating, lights, and displays.
• Prepare train cars and guest areas for the journey.
• Set up outdoor holiday displays and maintain them.
• Move and store decorations; keep grounds clean and guest-ready.
• Transition to acting as Christmas elves, Santa, mascots, or other characters.
