Job summary

Tumble Brook Country Club, operated by Troon, in Bloomfield, CT, is seeking a full-time Greenskeeper for a seasonal position (up to 6 months). Compensation is $19.00 per hour. The role focuses on landscaping and maintenance around the golf course with opportunities to grow knowledge of club operations.

Beginners are welcome; no prior grounds maintenance experience is required. Flexible schedules and extended hours may be needed during golf and holiday seasons, with safety protocols in place for

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
