Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Tigard, OR is seeking a logistics processor who operates with ownership and initiative to support daily store operations.

You will handle receiving, unloading and delivering merchandise to selling departments, and you will help fulfill customer orders with precision and speed. You will use inventory systems to manage shipments, assist in keeping stockrooms organized, and provide general store support, including event setup and backroom organization.

Job description

Job Description The ideal logistics processor is independent, motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer experiences every day. A day in a Life… Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments. Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards. Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards. Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes. Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms. Provide general support to the store, e.g. setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

Physical Requirements

Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. $19.15 - $19.95 Hourly
