Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Retail Seasonal Sales Associate in Fairview Heights, IL to deliver an exceptional guest experience and support sales growth for Yankee Candle.

You will build product knowledge, assist guests, maintain store appearance, and contribute to loyalty programs, while working with the store team to meet KPI targets.

Candidates should have at least 1 year in retail, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends and holidays in a fragrance-rich environment.

Qualifications

• High School completion or GED.
• Retail experience preferred (1+ years).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
• Flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Illinois base pay range: $15.00–$18.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store environment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Understand guest needs through product knowledge and make emotional connections.
• Maximize sales using company selling strategies and build lasting customer relationships to enhance loyalty.
• Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and KPIs.
• Maintain store appearance to visual standards, including plan-o-grams, signage, and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
• Incorporate safety and loss prevention measures into daily activities and follow company policies and Code of Ethics.
• Strive to meet or exceed KPI goals through planning and execution.
