Job summary

Yankee Candle in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, is seeking a Seasonal Retail Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional guest experience and drive sales in a fragrance-rich environment.

You will assist with daily store operations, maintain visual standards, process transactions, and support inventory and loss prevention.

This part-time, onsite role requires weekend and holiday availability and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• High School completion or GED.
• Proven experience in a retail environment (1+ years preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Must be able to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Overview

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

C ontribute to creating a welcoming store environment focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Understand guest needs through product knowledge and make emotional connections.

Maximize sales potential by implementing company selling strategies and build ing lasting customer relationships to enhance loyalty .

Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Assist in m aintain ing store appearance by following company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and store cleanliness.

Team Experience:

Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that represents Newell Brand Values: Passion for Winning, Integrity, Leadership, Ownership, and Teamwork.

Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.

Operational Experience:

Support inventory management activities and control expenses.

Incorporate safety and loss prevention measures into daily activities and follow company policies and Code of Ethics.

Consistently strive to achieve or exceed all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals through strategic planning, effective execution, and continuous performance improvement.

Qualifications:

The NJ base pay range for this position is from $15.92/hr to $19.90/hr. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position
