Job summary

Chewy seeks a Seasonal Forklift Operator to join its Fulfillment Center team in a fast-paced, safety‑first environment. This 90‑day temporary role offers competitive hourly wages and potential for schedule flexibility during peak seasons.

You’ll handle labeling, loading, unloading, and order fulfillment, using PIT equipment to move product to storage and staging areas. Training is provided, with opportunities for full‑time conversion based on performance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Willing to be trained on PIT equipment (Reach Truck, Order Pick, Dock Stocker, Turret Truck, etc.).
• Able to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• 90-day temporary assignment with possible evenings/weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Labeling, replenishing, box making, loading/unloading trailers.
• Fulfill and coordinate customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Create shipping documentation for domestic orders.
• Safely operate PIT and material handling equipment to move product.

What You’ll Do

As a Seasonal Forklift Operator, you’ll play a key role in delivering joy to pet parents. Your responsibilities may include:

• Labeling, replenishing, box making, loading/unloading trailers
• Fulfilling and coordinating customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Creating shipping documentation for domestic orders
• Safely and efficiently operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and material handling equipment to receive or transport product to storage and staging locations.

What You’ll Need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Understand and adhere to our safety guidelines and procedures.
• Willing to be trained on PIT equipment e.g.,. Reach Truck, Order Pick, Dock Stocker, Turret Truck, Double Walkie Rider, Walkie Stacker, Movexx/Amigo.
• This role requires the ability to read, write, and speak English in order to understand and follow safety procedures, interpret work instructions, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with team members
• This position is a 90-day temporary assignment designed to support fluctuating operational demands. Current shift openings may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
• Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
• Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
• Climb up and down stairs (where applicable).

When business needs require Team Members to work Mandatory Extra Time (MET), leadership will provide as much advance notice as possible.
