Job summary

Talbots is seeking an energetic retail associate for our Salt Lake City area store. You will deliver outstanding customer service, assist with styling, and help drive store performance. This temporary/part-time role supports the team in greeting customers, answering calls, and presenting fashion solutions.

The position emphasizes fashion knowledge, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative spirit to enhance the guest experience and meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate selling competence, styling expertise and possess a love of fashion.
• Driven to create, build and cultivate relationships.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and high integrity.
• Proficient with computer/iPad/handheld systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers in a warm and engaging manner as a greeter and/or when answering the phone.
• Take an active role in assisting the management team to build store business.
• Support all service enhancers to build strong relationships.
• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously.
• Stay informed on fashion trends and information about all new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color and style.
• Use product knowledge to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs.
• Maximize performance through learning opportunities, coaching and feedback.
• Support achievement of sales and service metrics including clientelling/outreach, appointments, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete projects including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
