Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Dune Deck Beach Club in Westhampton Beach, NY seeks a seasonal Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the facilities team from April 1 to October 31, 2027. Responsibilities include light maintenance, deck setup, cleaning, and work-order logging for members and guests.

The role requires basic tools experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high-demand private club environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in maintenance or custodial; experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions and work orders.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Replace burned-out light bulbs in buildings and restrooms.
• Bring umbrellas in/out from the deck for daily member use.
• Unclog toilets and clear minor drain blockages.
• Report larger problems to Facilities Engineer or management.
• Assist with simple upkeep tasks and restocking supplies.
• Set up and rearrange deck/furniture for events and member use.
• Perform general cleaning and keep areas organized.
• Respond to maintenance requests and log tasks in the work order system.
• Identify safety concerns and follow safety policies.
