Bass Pro Shops is hosting a National Hiring Event in Woodbury, MN for seasonal positions. The Seasonal Events Associate will support store events, assist customers, and promote programs while working during peak holiday seasons.

Candidates should have a high school education or equivalent. The role emphasizes teamwork, friendly communication, and ability to handle busy, noisy environments with families and children. Interviews will be conducted on the spot during the event.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Assist customers in buying decisions and promote CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children and customers.
• Assist with execution of seasonal events and in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in store events as scheduled and keep work area clean and safe.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events, participates in “short term” assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by: identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based off of this analysis and promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, children and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate "in-house" outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in Store “events” as scheduled.
• Keep work area clean, neat and safe at all times.
• All other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School education or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills, And Ability

• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
• Ability to perform data entry, analyze reports and ledgers
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other Associates
• Good Customer Service skills
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment, with children and parents

• Constantly stand and/or walk during shift

• Occasionally work in low or high temperatures
• Occasionally work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.
• Occasionally work in noisy environments
• Light work that may occasionally require lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds (utilizing a team lift as needed)

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
