Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a Seasonal Events Associate to support store events and short-term assignments throughout the year. You will help customers, promote CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up, and assist with event execution.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and strong customer service, cash handling, and data-entry abilities. You will work in a busy, family-friendly environment, coordinating with management and teammates to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers.
• Ability to perform data entry, analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other Associates.
• Good Customer Service skills.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events, participates in “short term” assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year.

Essential Functions

Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provide a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by: identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based off of this analysis and promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, children and customers. Assist with the execution of seasonal events. Facilitate "in-house" outdoor skills workshops. Participate in Store “events” as scheduled. Keep work area clean, neat and safe at all times. All other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualifications

High School education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers. Ability to perform data entry, analyze reports and ledgers. Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other Associates. Good Customer Service skills. Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment, with children and parents.
