Jackson Hewitt Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparer in Alabama to guide clients through tax codes, complete multistate returns, and provide IRS audit support. You will conduct face-to-face interviews and file returns electronically, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

The role offers flexible schedules (day/night/weekends/part-time or full-time), paid training, and opportunities to learn tax procedures and products while building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of computer functions and math.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax preferred.
• PTIN Certification: Yes

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth and client retention.
• Provide clients with IRS audit support.
• Complete all related tax forms per policy and law.
• Process client payments and ensure timely deposits.
• Assist with marketing and business development.
• Provide advice to ensure correct form completion.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Assist with future tax planning discussions.
• Resolve client complaints or escalate as needed.
• Support office priorities through teamwork.
